Our approach
Hollywood and Kevin Costner made famous the adage, "If you build it, they will come," and many venue owners seem to have fully embraced this falsehood. In the Field of Dreams of live music performance venues, "they" have to know what you've built.
At In2une Music Services we are strong believers in promotion and persistence. Persist with a strong and consistent live music program, and then promote the hell out of it.
Another key element in the production of live music entertainment is presentation. Many venue owners are under the mistaken impression that they can move a few tables around to make room for a band, who then will bring in a bunch of people and boost the night's receipts. It would be nice and easy if it worked that way, but it doesn't. If you're going to have a live music venue, have a live music venue. Half-hearted attempts at something like this are expensive and do more harm than good to your business.
For example, your venue is not a good restaurant offering live music, it is a live music venue that serves great food. A kind of urban psychology is at work here. In the city, the public is given a huge array of choices as to what to do any given night (other than watching TV). So, they need to know what to expect. If your live music is being presented inconsistently, or half-heartedly, there is no clear and definite impression in the public mind as to what kind of place you have. This blocks people from remembering you when they make their evening plans. In2une fully appreciates this factor, and has designed its services to make sure your venue is perceived as a great place for live music in the public mind.
Many live music venue wannabes further fail in the presentation of their live music program by not orienting the room to the live music. To us, "orienting the room" means providing a stage with good sight lines, colored stage lights and excellent sound system. Without this orientation, your venue just doesn't look like a place for live music. Again, you must run a campaign to create an impression in the public mind. Stage, lights and sound go a long way in doing that, as well as making you money in the long run.
